Table Locators are designed mainly for fast food businesses or restaurants that have large dining areas with high customer footfall. These type of restaurants usually have lines of customers waiting to place their order, or waiting to find a free table to accommodate.
In Tagmate's Table Locator use case, we have welcome screens that customers can access by touching their tagged device (registration needed prior to access) that could be their contact-less credit card, their NFC equipped smartphone or a gadget provided by the restaurant tied to the customer's digital identity.
The order can also be placed via the app on the customer's smartphone. Once the order is placed and paid for, the customers would pick the table of their choice and touch their tag to the tag reader on the table.
The order would then be sent to the kitchen and as soon as it is ready a waiter will bring the food to the table.
In addition, with the optional augmented reality module in the mobile app, customers can scan the food using their camera on their phone and see the related information on the screen, such as ingredients, calories and so on.
Customer interactions on the app and on the welcome screen are recorded and tracked in Tagmate's Engine.
